1. How do I know the cosmetic work is going to look natural?
Dr. Kourosh Maddahi uses the latest technologies to ensure you're satisfied with the outcome of his work. He has an on-site laboratory to make any necessary last-minute changes you or he feel is needed to your new teeth. Additionally, he can show you what the end result will be by using computer imaging. You will know how it's going to look before any work is done on your teeth.
2. How many times will I need to come to the office to get my teeth handled?
This varies depending on the work to be done, but most work can be completed in a few office visits. Also, sometimes the work can be split up into several shorter visits as opposed to a few longer visits; just let Dr. Maddahi know what you would like.
3. Can the unusual amount of space between my teeth be fixed?
Porcelain veneers or bonding is a great way to handle this. Patients avoid years of painful and unsightly braces and retainers by visiting Dr. Maddahi. Additionally, Dr. Maddahi is an expert at making your new teeth look natural and feel comfortable, so you don't have to worry about finishing the procedure and being more embarrassed about your new teeth than you were of your old.
4. Why does Dr. Maddahi use digital x-rays?
As more research is being done in the field of radiation, it is being discovered how harmful radiation can be. Digital x-rays decrease the radiation output by 90%, so it is much better for patients' overall health. With digital, the x-ray exposure time is only a few seconds, as opposed to most x-rays, which can take several minutes.
5. What is the benefit of digital bite recorders?
Dr. Kourosh Maddahi uses digital bite recorders instead of the traditional articulating paper because the results are much more specific. Using the digital recorders, Maddahi can get information on the entire bite from the moment any teeth touch until the point the teeth are fully closed. This information shows up on a computer so any necessary changes can be made, and so the dentist creating your new teeth or veneers can make them as natural and comfortable as possible.
6. I generally feel pretty uncomfortable going to the dentist. Can you help me with this?
